What is a Toob?

I get asked this question quite a bit so I decided to do a quick post about it! Mystery solved!

A “Toob” refers to a type of educational toy, specifically a small, hand-painted collection of miniature figurines, often depicting animals, plants, or other themed objects, from Safari Ltd. These figurines are designed for imaginative play and are known for their detailed craftsmanship and vibrant colors.

Toobs are typically rectangular in shape and contain a set of 10-14 figurines, each ranging from 1.25 to 3.75 inches tall.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
  • Purpose:

Toobs are designed to encourage imaginative play and can also be used as educational tools for learning about different ecosystems or themes.

  • Themes:

Toobs come in various themes, including insects, rainforest creatures, pirates, musical instruments, fruits & vegetables, and more.

  • Features:
    • Size: They measure 1.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 12.8 inches tall, which is slightly larger than a standard American ruler.
    • Materials: Made from non-toxic, BPA-free materials, making them safe for children.
    • Detail: Figurines are hand-painted with meticulous attention to detail, capturing the essence of the subject matter.
    • Durability: Designed to withstand hours of imaginative play.
